Synopsis: The USDA Forest Service requires maintenance of aggregate and native surfaced roads located throughout the Sisters Ranger District, Deschutes National Forest. Work includes road grading, roadside brushing, and logging out deadfall. a. Roadside Brushing: Clear and grub all vegetation and stumps from road shoulder to back of ditch. Clear without grubbing 3' beyond road shoulder and back of ditch. Pile all construction slash at designated locations or chip and spread outside of travel way. b. Logging gout deadfall: Clear deadfall laying over road. Limb and buck deadfall into lengths no greater than 10'. Deck roadside. c. Road grading: Grade roads to restore crown in road cross section and eliminate potholes and washboard. Reshape ditch and road shoulder as needed. d. Temporary traffic control: Provide temporary traffic control at all sites. All work will occur on the Deschutes National Forest, Sisters Ranger District. Contract time begins on the effective date of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) and runs until the appropriate number of calendar day's elapse. Estimated time to start work is July 15, 2023, to July 15, 2024. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 237310 and the size standard is $45 million. The Product Service Code is Z1LB We anticipate issuing a BPA Call order approximately 5 June 2023 but all dates in this notice are subject to change.
