DESCRIPTION: The 17th Contracting Squadron at Goodfellow AFB, TX, is issuing a solicitation for HVAC repairs at one (1) compound with two (2) buildings, Building 3511 and Building 3519. The project consists of the Contractor replacing fourteen (14) Variable-Air-Volume units (VAV) boxes and associated Direct Digital Control (DDC) for Building B3311. For the second building the project consists of the Contractor replacing six (6) Gas Fired, Mixed Air Handler Units and associated thermostatic controls, and modify all ductwork as needed. TYPE OF CONTRACT AND NAICS: This RFQ will be for one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract and will be made to the responsible offeror whose quote conforms to the solicitation requirements and is the most advantageous to the Government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238220 - Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, and the small business size standard is no greater than $19 Million. TYPE OF SET-ASIDE: This acquisition is a 100% Small Business set-aside. CONSTRUCTION MAGNITUDE: Between $100,000 and $250,000, in accordance with FAR 36.204(c). DISCUSSIONS: The Government intends to make award without discussions. However, the Government reserves the right to hold discussions if it is in the Government's best interest to do so. Additionally, the Government reserves the right to cancel the solicitation before or after the specified closing date. The Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs. REGISTRATIONS: Offerors shall have and shall maintain an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at http://www.sam.gov to be eligible for a Government contract award. If at the time of award an Offeror is not actively and successfully registered in the SAM database, the Government reserves the right to award to the next prospective Offeror.
