The WORK of this Contract will consist of replacement of the City's underground fueling station facility at the Civic Center. This work consists of demolishing existing fueling canopy, dispensers, and associated support equipment, and abandoning the existing tank in place. The new facility will involve a new fueling canopy, dispensers, control system, and underground storage tank. See project plans and specifications for comprehensive description of scope. No bid shall be considered unless it is prepared on the approved Proposal forms in conformance with the Instructions to Bidders as determined by the AGENCY. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bidder's bond made payable to the AGENCY for an amount no less than 10% of the amount bid. For electronic submittal of bids, the bid security must be received at the City of Huntington Beach Public Works Office, 2000 Main Street, no later than the bid opening date and time. The bid security must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, and the outside of the envelope must read as follows: The successful bidder shall be licensed in accordance with provisions of the Business and Professions Code and shall possess a State Contractor's License C-61/D-40 and a State Hazardous Substance Removal Certificate , at the time of the bid opening. The AGENCY reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularity and to take all bids under advisement for a maximum period of 60 days.
