The CBRM's procurement approach for the Solid Waste Management Project consists of a two-stage process, by first pre-qualifying Proponents to provide Solid Waste, Recycling, C&D and Biosolids processing for the CBRM based on their proposed Solid Waste Management technologies, past experience and proven ability to process Solid Waste, Recycling, C&D and Biosolids material on a large scale, as part of this RFPQ. Based on the RFPQ responses and RFPQ evaluation process, the CBRM intends to invite pre-qualified Proponents to respond to the RFP in the second stage, which will include providing full details on solutions and costs. Estimated Duration of Contract (months): 3 Bid Security: Each tender must be accompanied by a certified cheque payable to the Cape Breton Regional Municipality or a Bid Bond on CCDC Form 220 for ten (10) percent of the tendered sum. Performance Security: A Performance Bond in the amount of fifty (50) percent contract price and Labour and Material Payment Bond in the amount of fifty (50) percent of the contract price will be required upon notification of award and before the signing date of the contract or issue of the Purchase Order The Cape Breton Regional Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all tenders or to accept any tender or part thereof considered to be in its best interest.
