As of June 22, 2023 the project has not been awarded yet. On behalf of the University of Louisville Athletics Department (ULAD), the Procurement Services Department will accept proposals from qualified general contractors to build new premium seating options and concession modifications in L&N Stadium for the Fall 2023 football season. The schedule for all scopes of work includes a start date of Wednesday, July 19th with a completion date of Thursday, August 31st, 2023. Drawings and specifications - both architectural and stamped engineering drawings are to be included by awarded proposer. The awarded qualified contractor is to provide all required purchases, installation labor, engineering, permits, installation materials, tools, transportation, handling, supervision, and related services to successfully execute and complete the scope of work identified within this RFP document. All work shall be coordinated with a designated staff member of ULAD during installation. Scope 1: Terrace Deck Patio Seating (6 locations) - See rendering below. Athletics is interested in creating six (6) patio seating areas on the lower level of the south terrace deck. These patio seating areas will have an assortment of patio furniture placed in them. The manufacturer of the patio furniture is Polywood. The styles and quantities of each required item will be provided on the pricing sheet. The six (6) patio areas may be divided as follows. Final count to be provided by Athletics prior to order: Two (2) areas with large chairs and sofas, two (2) areas with bar stools and a counter that runs the entire length of the patio and two (2) areas that will have mixed seating of high-top tables and stools along with cafe chairs. Potential suppliers are also being asked to provide the quantity that may provide a price break. For example, ordering up to five (5) units is $XX / unit ordering more than five (5) is $XX/ unit. Deadline for Written Questions May 29th, 2023, by 2PM, EST. Proposals shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the base bid executed by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of Kentucky and countersigned by a licensed Kentucky Resident Agent representing the Surety Company. (Certified Check Acceptable) It is agreed that in the event that this proposal is accepted by the owner and the Contractor shall fail to execute a contract within ten (10) consecutive calendar days from the date of notifications of the Award of Contract, the Owner shall determine that the contractor has abandoned the contract and thereupon, the Proposal shall become null and void, and the bid guarantee, check of bid bond which accompanied it shall be forfeited and become the property of the Owner as liquidated damages for such failure and no protest pursuant to such action will be allowed. The Contractor shall furnish a performance and payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as security for the faithful performance of this contract and for the payment of all persons performing labor, including payment of all unemployed contributions which become due and payable under the Kentucky Unemployment Insurance Law furnishings materials in connection with this contract.
