The City Council will consider the bids at City Hall, Greenville, as soon thereafter as may reasonably be convenient, subject to the right to reject any or all bids and waive any formalities. a cashier s or certified check issued by a bank satisfactory to the City of Greenville, or a Bidder s bond from a reliable surety company, payable without recourse to the order of the City of Greenville in an amount not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid submitted as a guarantee that bidder will enter into a contract and execute all necessary bonds (if required) within 10 days after notice of award of the contract to him The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond in accordance with Article 5160, Vernon s Annotated Civil Statutes, in the amount of 100% of the total contract price in the event that said contract price exceeds $25,000.00. The construction covered by the contract documents shall be fully complete within _160 consecutive calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed issued by the City of Greenville to the successful bidder. The Owner retains the right to waive informalities and to reject any or all bids.
