Site work for a water / sewer project in Dubuque, Iowa. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The City of Dubuque has substandard infrastructure located along W 1st Street between Main St and the alley east of Locust Street. The sanitary sewer manhole in this intersection is in a deteriorating condition and requires replacement. Due to the proximity of this manhole to adjacent City utilities, replacement of the manhole will require the relocation of a 20" diameter City owned water main. The project includes the replacement of approximately 150 linear feet of sanitary sewer main and approximately 160 linear feet of water distribution mains. All work shall be performed in accordance with the Iowa Statewide Urban Design and Specifications (SUDAS), 2020 Edition, and the City Supplemental Specifications, 2020 Edition. The Bid security must be in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the contract and must be in the form of a cashier's check or certified check drawn on a statechartered or federally chartered bank, or a certified share draft drawn on a statechartered or federally chartered credit union, or the Bidder may provide a Bid Bond with corporate surety satisfactory to the governmental entity. The Bid Bond must contain no conditions except as provided in this section. Work on the Project must be commenced within ten (10) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed has been issued and shall be fully completed by September 15, 2023+ The City of Dubuque, Iowa, reserves the right to reject any and all Bids.
