The project consists of: Concrete Pavement Replacement and New Pavement Construction for intersection improvements on US-54/400 at Barber Drive/Crowne Drive Intersection. Project includes Concrete Removal and Replacement, Grading, New Surfacing (Concrete), Sidewalks, Storm sewer, Seeding, Traffic Signalization, Signing, Pavement Marking. Bids shall be on a Unit Price basis for each item of Work. Questions regarding the project shall be submitted in writing no later than 12:00 noon 7 days prior to bid date. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Owner, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities. In evaluating bids, Owner will consider costs, scheduling, and past performance of bidders with Owner and on similar projects. If a contract is to be awarded, it will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is, in the Owner's sole determination, in the best interests of the Owner. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the Contract.
