The project consists of storm sewer extensions at multiple locations. It also consists of a storm lateral project to include the connection of private property sump pump discharges at the front of the home to the City's storm sewer as part of the MMSD's PPII program. The estimate of quantities is as follows: 3,327 LF Furnish & Install 6" SDR 26 Storm Lateral 63 EA Furnish & Install Connection to Exist Sump Pump Discharge 815 LF Furnish & Install 10"-12" Storm Sewer 15 VF Furnish & Install 48" Storm Manhole 25 VF Furnish & Install 24"x36" Catch Basin 2,288 SY Furnish & Place 7" Concrete Pavement 855 LF Furnish & Place 30" Concrete Curb & Gutter 2,280 SF Furnish & Place 5" Concrete Sidewalk 893 SY Furnish & Place Topsoil & Sod No bid will be received unless a certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Cudahy, or a satisfactory bid bond in an amount no less than five percent (5%) of the bid, shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the Agreement and a 100% performance bond and payment bond, within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award. In case the bidder fails to file such contract and bond within the time set forth, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City of Cudahy as liquidated damages. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the bid opening date without the consent of the City of Cudahy. The City of Cudahy reserves the right to accept any bid most advantageous to the City, waive any technicality or reject any or all bids. Award of this contract is scheduled for around June 27th, 2023. The Contractor may start work anytime between July 10th, 2023 and September 1, 2023. Once started and once barricades are in place the contractor shall have 40 calendar days to complete work. Restoration of front resident yards and terrace areas shall be completed by October 15th 2023 to allow for sod establishment. Completion date of all other work shall be November1st, 2023.
