Saving Project...

Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Cusick, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.

The Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation (CTCR) Anadromous Fisheries Division is seeking proposals from construction companies capable of completing habitat reconnection project at ~ RM 1.0 on Loup Loup Creek as designed (see attachment). The purpose of this project is to improve access upriver of the undersized culvert (5 ft. diameter) for adult salmon and steelhead and reduce the risk of flooding. The project will remove the existing culvert and replace with a single span bridge. The installation of a single span bridge will substantially increase the cross-sectional area at the Larsen Road crossing providing easier access to spawning habitat upstream as well as reduce the risk of localized flooding which occurred as recent as 2018. The project, once awarded, is expected to be completed within three weeks. The contractor will review existing design drawings as the basis for the construction of the project. The expectation is the contractor would complete the project as designed. Required to transport the required size material and install according to plans. To complete this work, if necessary, stream flow may be diverted from the area of excavation, and would be conducted in a dry channel. Also, equipment within the ordinary high-water mark would be required to use bio-degradable lubricants. Fuels for machinery would be stored at least 200 feet from the active channel. It is expected that any ground disturbance associated with this project (access road) would be landscaped to the same or near condition prior to the disturbance of the project. Also any bare lands would be seeded at the appropriate time (likely fall) with a native seed mixture. The Tribes reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any minor informalities or irregularities contained in any proposal, and to accept any proposal deemed to be in the best interest of the Tribes. Any contract negotiated in response to this RFP will require either a 25% retainage or a performance bond. Any contract awarded with a value greater than $100,000 will require a performance bond. Question Deadline 06/14/2023 at 5:00 PM PT Site Visitations A site visit is not required. By submitting his/her proposal, the Contractor acknowledges that he/she has satisfied him/herself as to the nature of the work requested.
