Gleniffer Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area (PRA) is located approximately 20 km west of Innisfail, Alberta and consists of several day use and campground amenities. The existing boat launch at Dickson Point is approximately 6.2 m wide by 45 m long and the boat launch at South Dyke is approximately 6.2 m wide by 43 m long. Both boat launches are constructed of concrete pads which have shifted and cracked, the side slopes are eroded, and no longer provide safe and easy access for boat launching. Immediate repairs are required, including removal of broken and displaced concrete pads, reestablishment of grade and granular base, erosion protection on the surrounding banks, and installation of new concrete boat launch pads. The goal of this project is to complete upgrades to the boat launches at Dickson Point and at South Dyke in order to provide safe boat launch access to the public.
