Remodeling of a mixed-use development in Hallsville, Texas. Working plans call for the remodel of a 13,000-square-foot fire / police facility.
As of August 31, 2023, an architect and a construction manager at risk have been selected. A timeline for bidding and construction has yet to be announced. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Estimated construction cost is around 2 million. The architects services shall include architectural, structural, MEP and civil disciplines as well as any required specialty consultants. The Architects request for proposal submittal shall consist of: 1. Letter of interest 2. Acknowledgement of receipt of the City of Hallsville, Texas request of Architects services proposal document. 3. AIA document B305-2021 (Architects Qualification Statement) The project consists of site and building re-use adaptation and renovations of an existing 13,000 square foot facility to accommodate the City Hall and Police Department facilities requirements. Schematic design documents illustrating site, floor plan, and exterior design concepts have been performed. Question Deadline 06/26/2023 All inquiries shall be submitted in writing to Marty Byers, City Administrator The City of Hallsville has recently acquired a building and property from the Hallsville Independent School District. The property is bordered by Willow Street, S. Green Street, W. Walnut Street, and S. Oak Street. The project consists of site and building re-use adaptation and renovations to accommodate the City Hall and Police Department facilities requirements. A phase one environmental investigation has been performed and no asbestos was found present. Additional on-site parking, sidewalks, site grading, site and security lighting and site signage will be required. Some site demolition will be required.
