The City intends to add a new Fire Hall on a City-owned site located on Grenoble Drive in Toronto. It is anticipated that the new facility will consist of a single-storey fire hall, with a building footprint of approximately 10,000 square feet. The building will include living accommodations, an apparatus bay, two interior tandem bays with space for up to four trucks, necessary office, kitchen, fitness, locker rooms, staff and visitor parking and appropriate driveway configuration. TIMELINE: A Request For proposals has been issued by the CreateTO on behalf of Build Toronto Inc. The awarded proponent will provide Architectural Services for construction of a new fire Hall and preservation of one to four tennis courts or pickle ball courts or some combination thereof. CreateTO will work with Parks, Forestry and Recreation to identify a separate site to accommodate two tennis courts and this will be included in the study. This project is being managed on behalf of the city of Toronto Fire Services division. Enquiries should be forwarded in writing to procurement@createTO.ca.
