Site work for a water / sewer project in Tripoli, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The scope of work for each lagoon to be cleaned out shall be as follows: 1. Obtain permission from Owner to proceed with the phase of work. 2. Owner will operate valves to isolate the cell to be cleaned out. 3. Contractor shall pump clear water from the lagoon to be cleaned out to an adjacent pond as directed by the Owner. 4. Contractor shall remove and transfer sludge from the lagoon to the East Lagoon. This lagoon is currently inactive. a. Method of sludge transfer shall be up to the Contractor. Hauling, pumping or a combination of these methods may be used. b. Contractor shall either move aeration diffusers and piping to accommodate the work or work around the aeration system. Contractor will be responsible for any damage to the aeration system. Contractor shall reinstall any piping or equipment moved for the work after sludge removal is complete. c. Contractor shall be responsible for repairing any damage to the cell clay liner after sludge removal is complete. The work to be performed consists of removing sludge from each of the three active lagoon cells and transferring the sludge to the East Basin. Land application of sludge is not included as part of this project. The work is to be completed in three phases: Phase 1 - Quiescent Cell (Lagoon 3) Phase 2 - East Aerated Cell (Lagoon 2) Phase 3 - West Aerated Cell (Lagoon 1)
