Renovation of an educational facility in Wayne, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Bids will be received in the Passaic County Technical Vocational School, Board Room, for a lump sum, single prime, Overall General Construction Contract as follows: BID NO: 22/23-32 Passaic County Technical Institute B-Wing Second Floor Chez Tech Renovations at Passaic County Technical Vocational School, 45 Reinhardt Road, Wayne, New Jersey 07470 Bidder must email their request at least twenty-four (24) hours or at least one (1) business day in advance to gain access to bid documents. Bids must be submitted, on forms supplied, in a sealed envelope beaing the name and address of the bidder and addressed to Mr. Richard Giglio, School Business Administrator, Passaic County Technical Vocational School, 45 Reinhardt Road, Wayne, New Jersey 07470, with the caption "Sealed Bid" clearly indicating bid title, due date and time. Proposals submitted on forms other than herewith provided will be rejected. All potential bidders are to send their responses through the US Postal Service or other recognized delivery service that provides certification of delivery to the sender, i.e. Fed Ex or UPS. Such deliveries will be accepted and signed for at the district's Receiving Department. Bid submissions are to be addressed to Passaic County Technical Vocational School, 45 Reinhardt Road, Wayne, New Jersey, 07470, Attention: Mr. Richard Giglio, School Business Administrator. If bids are to be hand-delivered: A) on days preceding the date of bid (up to and including Wednesday, June 21, 2023), hand-delivered bid submissions must be delivered to the Security Entrance Gate prior to 2:00 p.m.; or B) on the day of the bid (Thursday, June 22, 2023) hand-delivered submissions MUST be delivered to, and in the hand of, the School Business Administrator or his designee at the Board Room prior to the Bid Opening Time of 11:00 a.m. The onus is on the bidder to leave enough time to park and enter the building. In no case are bid submissions to be delivered or accepted later than 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2023, PCTVS encourages all individuals to mail all bid packages to the district. Opening of Bids :All potential bidders are encouraged to send their responses through the US Postal Service or other recognized delivery service that provides certification of delivery to the sender, i.e. Fed Ex or UPS. Such deliveries and bids that are hand-delivered will be accepted and signed for at the district's Security Entrance Gate. Bidders may attend the bid opening in person in the PCTI Board Room at the advertising date & time. All attendees must check-in at the Security Entrance Gate and obtain a visitor badge, where you will be directed to the visitor parking lot. If bids are mailed or delivered in person ahead of the time for the receipt to the designated location, they are to be inserted in a smaller bid envelope, sealed, and the small envelope is to be inserted into a larger envelope for mailing or delivery clearly marked "Sealed Bid". The Passaic County Technical Vocational Schools will not assume responsibility for bids not delivered in person. Please take note that some overnight delivery services offer a service that guarantees delivery of your packages by 9:00 A.M or earlier. The Passaic County Technical Vocational School may not be open at this early hour and some vendors are discovering that the delivery services will not re-attempt a delivery of the package until after the bid opening. Please be guided accordingly. It is the bidder's responsibility to ensure that bids are presented to Passaic County Technical Vocational Schools on the hour and at the place designated. No Bids Shall Be Received, in Person or by Mail, After the Hour Designated for Receipt. Pre-bid Conference Walk-through The conference will convene in the Passaic County Technical Vocational School, C-Wing PCTI Main Lobby. Addendum, if necessary will be issued on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, EOB All bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq. and N.J.A.C.17:27. An Initial Project Manning Report will be requested from the successful bidder (Form AA201). A Bidder on public works for a Board of Education where the cost of the work exceeds $20,000 shall be prequalified as required by The State of New Jersey, Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A: 18A-27 through 33, et. Seq. and shall submit with his bid a copy of a valid and active Notice of Classification and a certified copy of a Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts Form. Each bid, the total price of which exceeds $100,000.00 shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond, cashiers check or certified check made payable to the Passaic County Technical Vocational School for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the total bid, including alternates, not to exceed $20,000. Corporate bidders are required by law (Chapter 33, Laws of 1977) to submit a list of the names and addresses of all stockholders owning 10% or more of their stock. A Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Contractor Questionnaire/Certification also must be filed with the bid. The Bid package shall also include other documents that must be completed and returned with the bid. Failure to comply with bid specifications and to complete and submit all required forms may be cause for disqualification and rejection of bid, according N.J.S.A 18A:18A-27 et seq. The Passaic County Technical Vocational School reserves the right to reject any or all bids to waive any informalities, in accordance with applicable law, and to take such alternate(s) that the Board feels are in the best interest of the Board.
