**As of June 27, 2023 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on July 03, 2023.**  The work shall generally consist of:Milling and overlay N. Main St. from E. Vine St. to E. Poplar St. and the reconstruction of N. Main Street from Poplar St. to Park St. major items of work include subbase granular material, type B, PCC base course widening, hot-mix asphalt surface removal, 2", bituminous materials (prime/tack coat), hot-mix asphalt binder course, IL-19.0, N50, hot-mix asphalt surface course, IL-9.5 mix "C", N50, PCC Pavement, 6", pavement removal, driveway removal, combination curb & gutter removal, inlets to be adjusted, combination concrete curb & gutter, type b-6.18, PCC sidewalk, sidewalk removal, pavement marking/striping, traffic control and protection and other related work. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the City of Taylorville, Illinois or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable Surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as required by the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and by the Contract documents must be paid on this Project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their of race, creed, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, or physical or mental handicap, and that certain other requirements do apply since the Contract if awarded will be by a public governmental entity. The City of Taylorville, Illinois reserves the right to reject any or all bids, any or all bid items, and to waive any and all irregularities or informalities in the bids and/or bidding process and/or in the award of bids. An award of bid, if made, shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. Bids may be held by the City of Taylorville for a period of _45__ days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
