Scope of Work The purpose of this Invitation to Negotiate (this "Solicitation") is to evaluate and select multiple firms for various Management Consulting assignments for JEA (collectively the "Work" or "Services"). JEA is seeking consulting firms for ad hoc management consulting assignments for corporate and industry best practices, organization and work-flow improvements, and utility specific focus areas and topics (the "Work") and to determine the best approach for JEA to procure the Work with regards to pricing, quality, process and work product. Additional information can be found in Appendix A - Technical Specifications - Scope of Services. Capitalized terms used in this Solicitation without definition shall have the definitions given to them in Section 2 of this Solicitation. 1.2) Background JEA owns, operates and manages the electric system established by the City of Jacksonville, Florida in 1895. In June 1997, JEA also assumed operation of the water and sewer system previously managed by the City. JEA is located in Jacksonville, Florida, where we proudly serve an estimated 488,000 electric, 352,000 water and 271,000 sewer customers. JEA is Florida's largest community owned utility and the eighth largest municipal in the United States. JEA is a not-for-profit community-owned utility serving most of Jacksonville and Duval County and portions of three adjacent counties with differing service areas among its major utility systems.
