Renovation of an educational facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
1.0 Scope of work: Painting of Apartments at the University of Utah, University Student Apartments (USA) & Sunnyside Apartments. 1. Vendor must have the abilities to: a. Complete up to six (6) apartments per day, Average is usually four (4) apartments per day b. Respond promptly to the needs of University Student Apartments within 24 business hours of being notified c. Please see Attachment “B” (Floor Plan Configurations) for more detail regarding floor plan designs and basic square footage estimates. USA will provide all paint. The paint is latex based. Safety Data Sheets are available on the paint as needed. Vendor will pick up paint at the USA Stockroom. All paint will be provided in 5 gallon pails. The USA Stockroom has a paint shaker and will shake paint as needed. 1. No paint spraying will be allowed except when requested by University Student Apartments Maintenance to paint textured ceilings. All other applications will be cut and roll. 2. Large repairs will be done by University Student Apartments prior to painting. Paint bids/quotes submitted will include, but are not limited to the following: • Removal of small nails • Minor patch and sanding • Removal of light switch and receptacle covers prior to painting • Mask around door trim and cabinets • Cover appliances • Protect flooring 3. The painting proposal consists of apartments in various building styles; Sunnyside Apartments Cedar and unscheduled painting as needed. Attachments will show the various building configuration layouts. A visual inspection will be made available upon request. 4. Additional Information: a. Sunnyside apartments will include painting of all walls. b. Cedar apartments will include the painting of all walls. Doors and ceilings will be as requested.
