Site work and paving for a road / highway in Wolcott, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of August 21, 2023, project was awarded but awarded amount is not available. This project is for the reconstruction of a 1.2 mile section of Beach Road between Spindle Hill Road and Wolcott Road (Rte 69). The project will include milling, full depth pavement reclamation of the top 10 inches of roadway and subbase, a 4 inch process aggregate layer, compacting, and paving with 4 inches of HMA. Line of sight issues at the intersections of Beach Road with Chasse Road and Longmeadow Drive will be improved. The horizontal curves at the intersections with Beach Road and Alcott Road were also improved. Widening of the roadway will also be required. The minimum width proposed for this project is 26 LF, (2-11 LF lanes and 2-2 LF shoulders). Drainage improvements will encompass installation of an additional 47 new or replacement catch basins, basins which will require 1215 lf of installation of drainage pipe and trenching.
