The City of Largo is seeking responses from qualified and experienced individuals or firms to prepare a redevelopment district plan that establishes the framework for decision making and guides the long-term growth and development of the Clearwater-Largo Road Community Redevelopment District (CLR-CRD).The principal goals of the Plan are to improve living conditions for the City's low-income households located within the CLR-CRD by eliminating slum and blighted conditions, improving utilities and infrastructure; expanding job development and economic growth; and increasing and maintaining affordable housing options. The City anticipates this to be twelve (12)-month project. The Plan envisioned by this RFP is flexible, collaborative, inclusive, adaptable, visionary and community driven and reflects the shared values of the city and county for removing blight, improving public safety, providing affordable housing, increasing mobility, and improving access to better paying jobs. The Plan will focus on the existing conditions identified in the 2020 Finding of Necessity and the Existing CLR-CRD Assessment Summary Memorandum, dated September 2021. The Plan will be positioned within the regional effort to revitalize the North Greenwood Redevelopment Area extending from Clearwater through Largo to Pinellas Park. Deadline for questions is June 13, 2023 at 11:59 PM The City reserves the right to reject any and all offers and to waive minor informalities.
