The item to be procured consists of: Grease Trap Servicing Bids must be enclosed in an opaque sealed envelope and plainly marked with the name of the Project Title (Grease Trap Servicing) and shall contain the name and address of the Bidder on the envelope. Complete instructions for filing Bids are included in the Instructions to Bidders.
After review of the factors set forth in the Instructions to Bidders, the CITY reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to make an award, or to decline to make an award. In evaluating Bids, the City of Waterbury (the “CITY”) will consider the qualifications of only those Bidders whose Bids, among other factors, are in compliance with the requirements set forth in the Bid The City reserves the right to reject any Bid based upon Bidder’s prior history with the City or with any other party that demonstrates, without limitation, failure to perform or unsatisfactory performance in accordance with the terms of one or more contracts or purchase orders or significant failure(s) to meet contractual obligations. This bid is for pumping and servicing of grease traps for the Waterbury Public Schools’ Cafeterias and Central Warehouse for the 2022-2023 school year including summer months. Emptying should be done on a set schedule and performed after school hours (2:00 pm). Must submit a schedule to the Food Service Department before work begins.

• Equipment Test
• Water Test
• Provide Maintenance Logs
• Provide Service Reports
All servicing and pumping should be signed off by an onsite employee of the Department of Education, either a Food Service Employee or Building Supervisor. Grease traps can be
located inside the cafeteria or underground depending on the site. A list of school sites is attached along with type of trap and desired emptying cycle.
