A Labor and Materials Payment Bond and a Performance Bond including bonding for all subcontractors, each in the amount of 100% or the Contract Sum including bonding for all subcontractors. This Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued to establish one Contract with a vendor who will provide lead-based paint hazard control services through lead abatement of 40 privately owned rental and owner-occupied homes located in Detroit, Michigan for the LSHP. All work performed under the RFP is subject to the agreed upon Contract Terms and Project Specifications (Schedule E) and must meet applicable State and Federal regulations. Work practices prohibited by Michigan Law and the Program include: 1 open flame burning or torching; 2 machine sanding or grinding without a high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) exhaust control; Michiga n.gov/Mi Proc ure ment Version 2023-2 Page 20 of 78 3 uncontained hydro blasting or high-pressure washing; 4 abrasive blasting or sandblasting without HEPA exhaust control; 5 heat guns operating above 1100 degrees Fahrenheit; 6 chemical paint strippers containing methylene chloride or other volatile hazardous chemicals in a poorly ventilated space; and 7 dry scraping or dry sanding, except scraping in conjunction with heat guns or around electrical outlets or when treating no more than two square feet in any one interior room or space or totaling no more than 20 square feet on exterior surfaces.
