The Town of Caledon (the "Town") is seeking bid submissions from competent and qualified bidders for the supply, delivery and installation of two (2) synthetic bocce playing surfaces at the Di Gregorio Bocce Centre located at 125 Pembrook St., Bolton, Ontario. The attached photographs outline the spaces where work is to be performed. Each bocce court is approximately 101 feet by 13.17 feet. On top of the existing sand base, a poured concrete base with a minimum of 4" thickness shall be installed with applicable wire meshing. A synthetic bocce court will be installed on top of the installed concrete slab. It is the requirement of the successful bidder to ensure the synthetic court is level and properly adhered to the concrete slab. All appropriate bocce court markings shall be included on the synthetic bocce court. A wood barrier shall be installed to a height of 9"-10" above the final playing surface and be at minimum 1" in thickness. This barrier will need to be notched around current fencing. At the entry doors (two on each court) to the bocce court, the wooded barrier shall have a hinge to allow the barrier to be raised and lowered when the door needs to be accessed. The hinged barrier shall be able to be affixed to the permanent portion of the barrier in both closed and open functions. Bid values are undisclosed A steel and epoxy rubber back board shall be installed at each end of both bocce courts and shall rise 9 inch-10 inch above the playing surface, this height shall be same on both ends of each court. A walkway is installed on the southeast side of both courts. The barrier shall be placed 18" from the current edge. The barrier shall be the same height as the to-be installed side walls and shall be placed on too of the new synthetic surface.
