The City of Sanford and Village of Springvale (the City) is accepting proposals to select qualified professional planning and engineering firms to provide professional services in order to develop a Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Action Plan to identify, evaluate, analyze, and scope safety improvement projects throughout our community in conjunction with the National Roadway Safety Strategy. All questions regarding this Request for Proposal (RFP) shall be directed in writing to: Matthew E. Hill, P.E. OR mehill@sanfordmaine.org City Engineer 156 School Street Sanford, Maine 04073 Questions shall be due at noon two (2) weeks before the RFP opening. All Questions and Answers shall be posted to the City's web page (as noted above) by noon one (1) week before the RFP opening. Acknowledgement of the Questions and Answers will be required in the RFP. A qualified Consultant familiar with low-cost, high-impact, and effective strategies will be selected consistent with the parameters of the Action Plan development requirements. Consultants will be encouraged to adopt evidence-based innovative methods to promote safety and equity. The selected Consultant will be tasked to develop an Action Plan for Sanford over the course of six (6) months.
