Asbestos abatement and renovation of a residential development in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Working plans call for the renovation of a residential development; and for asbestos abatement for a residential development.
Project put on hold. The Ipswich Housing Authority is seeking an Abatement Contractor as the Prime for the asbestos abatement and mold remediation of two vacant units (565 s.f. and 710 s.f.) located at 34 Agawam Village. The work consists of but is not limited to: the removal of gypsum wallboard, flooring, floor sheathing, existing insulation where specified, cabinetry, and plumbing fixtures down to the face of stud. Select materials are known to have asbestos containing materials and shall be removed and disposed of properly. Additional mold testing is required once the studs are exposed. The contractor is to proceed with the installation of new insulation, floor sheathing, and gypsum wallboard and new ceiling as specified in the Contract Documents. This project is subject to HUD Davis Bacon Federal Wage Rates. A Bid Deposit of 5% of the value of the total bid is required with the submission. A Payment Bond of 50% of the submitted bid is required with the submission. OSHA training is required, and CORI checks will be conducted.
