Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Roanoke, Virginia. Completed plans call for the construction of a swimming pool; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and swimming pool.
The City of Roanoke, Virginia, is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from Offerors to provide Design-Build services for construction of a pool at Washington Park in Roanoke, Virginia, in accordance with all terms, conditions, and specifications as set out in this Request for Qualifications (RFQL). This is a two-step qualifications-based competitive negotiation process as authorized by Section 2.2- 4382 of the Code of Virginia and City of Roanoke Ordinance No. 39922-050514 adopting written procedures governing the selection, evaluation, and award of design-build contracts. Qualified Offerors will be invited to submit proposals for the second step of this process. The City's primary objective in utilizing the design-build approach is to reduce the delivery schedule for this project by supporting concurrent construction activity with the design process to ensure completion of the pool's construction within Five Hundred and Forty (540) consecutive calendar days from a Notice to Proceed. All inquiries, questions and comments shall be submitted on or before 5:00 pm, June 30, 2023. The City reserves the right to cancel this RFQL and/or deny any or all statements of qualifications in accordance with section 2.2-4317(C) Code of Virginia, and to waive any informalities in any statement of qualification.
