*Award subject to final approval Reference number : 1733058 Deadline for receipt of complaints: 2023-06-26 Université du Québec à Montréal hereinafter referred to as the Owner, having its registered office at 1430 Saint-Denis Street, H2X 3J8, Montreal, Quebec, solicits bids for the modernization of the mechanical installations of the elevator mechanical room building. More specifically, it involves modernizing two mechanical rooms, one for three (3) elevators in Pavilion N (Paul-Guérin-Lajoie), namely N-01, N-02 and N-03, as well as a mechanical room for the three (3) elevators in Pavilion W (Thérèse-Casgrain), W-01-W-02 and W-03. This includes the demolition of existing equipment and the supply, installation and connection of new plumbing and air conditioning equipment for mechanical rooms. The mechanical subcontractor(s) (plumbing, ventilation, refrigeration) will be under the responsibility of the ventilation contractor and subordinate to the elevator mechanical contractor who will act as prime contractor. The Contract also includes the recovery of certain existing equipment and its reinstallation. The Contractor must consider that the users and occupants of the building will continue their activities during the work. The Contractor must act in such a way as to minimize inconvenience to users and staff. Similarly, the outdoor courtyard, parking, access, etc., will also continue to be used throughout the duration of the work. The Contractor must ensure that users have access to the premises and facilities in a safe, healthy environment. This includes all fitting-out work, demolition, protection, patching and other work required to complete the Work, and all related work such as site preparation and clean-up, temporary protective work, repairs and modifications to existing interior fittings. All grouting, repair and drilling work required for the present work is included. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
