Reference Number 0000325848 The City of Jacksonville is requesting proposals for On-Call Hauling Services to include the following items. A complete Scope of Work is included in this Request for Proposal as Exhibit A. The City of Jacksonville is requesting bids for an on-call hauling service to provide trucking services to haul various materials such as, but not limited to, hot mix asphalt, chip rock, crushed aggregates, gravel, quarry spalls, granular road salt, tree and vegetative debris, excavated soils, etc. This on-call service will be used as needed by the City of Jacksonville and its affiliates. Periodically, Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune may engage the City to utilize hauling services. Bids shall be based on an hourly rate for the equipment that will be utilized. This hourly rate shall include all associated costs incurred while running the equipment such as; the truck, driver, all associated maintenance, fuel, etc. Different sizes of truck or equipment may be required depending on the particular job, therefore hourly rates should reflect this based on the varying sizes of truck. Contractor shall be guaranteed a minimum of 4-hours of hauling time for normal hauling operations. The City provides no guarantees whatsoever concerning the total amount of work to be done under this contract. The City shall attempt to provide 24-hour notification to the Contractor when hauling services are necessary. This should provide a reasonable response time for the Contractor to prepare for the Work required and to receive all relevant information pertaining to the Work. In times where Emergency Response is needed, the City may request hauling and disposal services with a notice of 8 hours or less. The Contractor must be able to obtain (or already have) access to board Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. While this on-call service will be used by the City of Jacksonville, there will be occasions where the Contractor is required to provide services to Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune to perform services on behalf of the City of Jacksonville. All load tickets, disposal tickets, or any other supporting documentation shall be available upon request and submitted with request for payment. The City shall clearly identify the beginning and destination locations for each City of Jacksonville ENGINEERING Attn: Roy Bredahl 815 New Bridge Street Jacksonville, NC 28540 LICENSURE: Contractor is required to comply with all NCDOT licensures and requirement TERM: The initial term of this agreement is for a timeframe beginning September 1, 2023 through August 31, 2025 with an option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year terms. INSURANCE: Contractor must obtain, and provide, proof of the following types of insurance with the dollar limits designated, prior to beginning work with the City of Jacksonville. The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all proposals, and to accept that Proposal or Proposals which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
