A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Bid openings were conducted on July 13, 2023, with Estes Brothers Construction being the apparent low bidder in the amount of $828,632.42 for Phase I of the project and McFall Excavating for Phase II in the amount of $249,500.00 Division I - Includes the base bid construction of approximately 10,490 Linear Feet (L.F.) of 6-inch water line, 6,902 L.F. of 4-inch waterline, 900 L.F. of 2-inch waterline, 700 L.F. of 3/4 -inch waterline, 11 gate valves, 4 blow-off valves, 23 water meter assemblies and associated appurtenances. Division II - Includes the base bid construction of a packaged pump station, hydropneumatic tank and vault and associated appurtenances. MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to submit bids. Bidders must comply with the following: the President's Executive Order # 11246 prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex, or national origin; the President's Executive Orders # 12138 and 11625 regarding utilization of MBE/WBE firms; the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Davis-Bacon Act; and Section 436 of P.L. 113-76 American Iron and Steel. Bidders must certify that they do not or will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed, or national origin.
