Contractor shall provide labor, materials, equipment, tools, construction equipment, transportation, fees, taxes, insurance, bonding, overhead and profit, and other facilities and services necessary for the proper execution and completion of 1. Pre-construction measures: a. Submit installation shop drawings, material selections and contractor certification for Owner approval prior to construction. b. Call SC 811 to locate any underground utilities in the proposed limits of construction. Notify Owner of any potential conflicts prior to construction. c. Define and clearly mark layout/storage area for construction materials required for the project. d. Install barriers, cones and construction tape as required to define and secure the construction zone and protect the public during construction. 2. Modifications to existing playground area: a. Cut existing synthetic turf and remove/dispose an existing play structure for ages 2-5 within the existing play area. b. Cut and peel back existing synthetic turf to accommodate the installation of new equipment. c. Install two play structures as shown on the Playground Expansion Plan (new play structures provided by Town) d. Supplement and compact sub-base per manufactures specifications. e. Provide and install the required resilient layer, corresponding the manufactures specifications for the proposed play structures. f. Patch and repair turf as needed upon final installation of equipment. 3. Construction of the new/expanded play area: a. Remove and dispose of existing ground surface material to accommodate proposed sub-base. b. Prepare, install, and compact subgrade per manufacturers specifications, and to insure positive drainage. c. Install edging/nailing board to the perimeter of the proposed new play area as defined by existing sidewalks. d. Provide and install the required resilient layer corresponding to the various fall zones as required by the play equipment manufactures specifications and according to national safety standards. e. Install two play structures in the new playground area per the Playground Expansion Plan. f. Install synthetic turf and secure edges as required per manufacturer specifications. g. Top dress all synthetic turf areas with hydrochill silica sand or equal. 4. Closeout: a. Cleanup and disposal. b. Provide documentation for the warranty for materials and labor (minimum of 5-years required). The additional play structure has been purchased by the Town and the specification sheet is attached to this proposal for installation pricing. Proposal pricing will include the purchase and installation of approximately 1,600 square feet of new synthetic turf. The perimeter tabby concrete sidewalk shown on the attached drawings is not included in this scope of work. The target start date for performing these services is July/August, 2023.
