Moving Services associated with the Modernization of Residential Units. Lynn Housing Authority invites sealed proposals for Moving Services associated with the Kitchen & Bath renovation project at Wall Plaza. The contractor will be required to provide the following services: Moving of residential furniture and personal belongings. Within the same development from existing unit to a newly renovated unit. The Lynn Housing Authority & Neighborhood Development (LHAND) is requesting proposals to provide moving services as well as packing materials and labor related to the rehabilitation of 18 Bond Street & 95 Tremont Street, Lynn, MA 01902. II. SCOPE OF SERVICES LHAND is looking for one or more licensed and bonded moving companies to provide moving services for 128 residents to newly renovated units within the same building complex as a result of a renovation project. This is an assignment covering a period of performance estimated at up to 24 months. Units may be viewed by request upon emailing Charles J. Mihos, Procurement Manager, at cmihos@lhand.org. There are 128 one-bedroom occupied units having no more than two occupants that will be relocated to newly renovated units. Moves will occur in waves of as few as two (2) households and as many as nine (9) households, with the initial waves being at the lower count and subsequent waves increasing in number. Most of the units will require packing services. Moves in each wave must be completed within a compressed time frame of no more than 3 per day for the moving company, but a master schedule will be developed in coordination with contract execution. Scheduling will have to be flexible given the nature of the population and construction related issues. LHAND would be looking to "lock" actual move dates approximately two weeks prior to the actual moves. In coordination with contract execution a Master Schedule will be developed to be used as the baseline. Households will be informed of a "preliminary" move date approximately 14 days prior to the date to initiate the packing and organizational process. This process will be repeated until all units have been reoccupied. LHAND has staff that will coordinate with the moving company and assist with communication with households to be moved. This will include any language translation issues that arise. Moves will be conducted in coordination with LHAND staff, project general contractor, and residents during weekend hours. Fridays after 4:00 PM, Saturdays 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Sundays 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Most of the units will require packing services.
