Bid Bond 5.00% Payment Bond 0.00% Performance Bond 100.00% Liquidated Damages $250 Toledo Department of Fire and Rescue is soliciting bids for the replacement of Fire Stations #4, 18, 19, 23, & 25's roofs according to relavtive RFQ. Ensure said bids factor in a total project completion time of 180 days from date of Purchase Order issue. Scope of Work - Toledo Fire Station 4 3940 Hill Ave. Toledo, OH 43607 Scope of Work (Upper Roof Area Only): o Contractor responsible for the measurements, core tests, and pull tests necessary to complete the project scope of work. o The contractor shall properly prepare the top surface of the existing modified bitumen roof to adhere a newPVCfleece membrane, by removing allloose granules. Thecontractor shall also remove and properly dispose oftheexisting sheetmetal edge. o The contractor shall provide a unit cost with their base bid for the removal and replacement of any saturated insulation if anyisfound during the project. o There will be no new additional insulation added on this project. o The contractor shall install afully adhered, 60mil, reinforced PVC fleece-back membrane roof system onthe deck oftheroof area. Thecontractor shall adhere thefleece membrane tothe existing smooth built-up roof system with a low-rise foam adhesive approved by the roof system manufacturer. Follow all manufacturer specifications. o Install curb flashings on any existing roof curbs per manufacturer specifications. Install stack flashings around allstack penetrations, back seal boot and useastainless steel clampto seal offthetopofthe stack, per manufacturer's specifications. The contractor shall coordinate withToledo Fire&Rescue Department regarding the removal of any curbs, stacks, or anything else onthe roofthat are no longer being used, anddeck inthe roof deck properly after theremoval of anyroof curbs or stacks. o For perimeter roof edgefascia,thecontractor shall runthe membrane over theedgeand terminate the new membrane with a 8" 2-piece compression edge (24-gauge cover, standard Kynar finish selected by Toledo Fire&RescueDepartment) per manufacturer specifications. o Thecontractor shallinstall anewwalkway padatthe ladder access location. For the purposes ofthis project,thecontractor shall estimate 1 walkway pad for this project. o Upon completion, the roof system manufacturer shall inspect all work complete, and issue a 20-year NDL, labor&material manufacturer warranty toToledo Fire&Rescue Department. Scope of Work - Toledo Fire Station # 18 5225 Lewis Street Toledo, OH 43612 Scope of Work (includes all low-slope roof areas on the building, including entrance roofs): o Contractor responsible for the measurements, core tests, and pull tests necessary to complete the project scope of work. o The contractor shall remove and properly dispose of all loose gravel from the roof. The contractor shall also remove and properly dispose of existing sheet metal gutters and downspouts. o The contractor shall provide a unit cost with their base bid for the removal and replacement of any saturated insulation, if any is found during the project. o Contractor shall install one layer of 1.5'' polyisocyanurate insulation over all of the roof areas, mechanically attached. The contractor shall install a 4x4 target sump at each roof drain. o The contractor shall install a mechanically attached, 60 mil, reinforced PVC membrane roof system on the deck and perimeter wall flashings. o Install curb flashings on any existing roof curbs per manufacturer specifications. Install stack flashings around all stack penetrations, back seal boot and use a stainless steel clamp to seal off the top of the stack, per manufacturer's specifications. The contractor shall coordinate with Toledo Fire & Rescue Department regarding the removal of any curbs, stacks, or anything else on the roof that are no longer being used, and deck in the roof deck properly after the removal of any roof curbs or stacks. o For existing drains, the contractor shall terminate the membrane into the existing plumbing per manufacturer specifications. o For any base wall flashing, the contractor shall cut out and remove the existing counterflashing. The contractor shall install the parapet flashings to go up to the same height as the existing flashing. Terminate the flashing with a termination bar and then install a new 1-pc counterflashing made of 24-gauge steel in the same color selected for the edge metal, per manufacturer specifications. o For perimeter parapet walls, the contractor shall install a new Prebuck wood nailer on top of the existing stone cap. Then, the contractor shall run the parapet flashings up and over the new Prebuck nailer and terminate the new membrane parapet flashings with a 5'; 2- piece compression edge (24-gauge cover, standard Kynar finish selected by Toledo Fire & Rescue Department) per manufacturer specifications. o For the interior parapet wall, the contractor shall remove the sheet metal cap and properly dispose of it. The contractor shall completely cover the interior parapet wall with new membrane. o The contractor shall install a new 6" commercial gutter (24-gauge, standard Kynar finish) complete with endcaps, splice joints, and hangers). The contractor shall install new 4x4 downspouts (24-gauge, standard Kynar finish) complete with outlets, elbows, and straps. The contractor shall terminate the membrane in the new gutter with termination bar, per manufacturer specifications. o The contractor shall install a new walkway pad at the bottom and top of the exterior wall ladder, and two new walkway pads on the serviceable side of each unit that requires regular maintenance. For the purposes of this project, the contractor shall estimate 8 walk pads for this project. o Upon completion, the roof system manufacturer shall inspect all work complete, and issue a 20-year NDL, labor & material manufacturer warranty to Toledo Fire & Rescue Department. Scope of Work - Toledo Fire Station # 19 4257 Stickney Street Toledo, OH 43612 Scope of Work (includes all low-slope roof areas on the building, including entrance roofs): o Contractor responsible for the measurements, core tests, and pull tests necessary to complete the project scope of work. o The contractor shall remove and properly dispose of all loose gravel from the roof The contractor shall also remove and properly dispose of existing sheet metal copings from the perimeter walls. o The contractor shall provide a unit cost with their base bid for the removal and replacement of any saturated insulation, if any is found during the project. o Contractor shall install one layer of 1.5'' polyisocyanurate insulation over all of the roof areas, mechanically attached. The contractor shall install a 4x4 target sump at each roof drain. o The contractor shall install a mechanically attached, 60 mil, reinforced PVC membrane roof system on the deck and perimeter wall flashings. o Install curb flashings on any existing roof curbs per manufacturer specifications. Laskey Road Toledo, OH 43613 Scope of Work (includes all low-slope roof areas on the building, including entrance roofs): o Contractor responsible for the measurements, core tests, and pull tests necessary to complete the project scope of work. o Thecontractor shall remove and properly dispose ofall loose gravel(including the moss/biological growth) from the roof. The contractor shall installthe parapet flashings to go uptothe same height astheexisting flashing. Terminate theflashingwith aterminationbar andtheninstall anew1-pc counterflashingmadeof 24-gauge steel inthesamecolor selected for the edge metal, permanufacturer specifications. o For perimeter parapet walls,thecontractor shall runthe parapetflashings upand over the wall. Central Avenue Toledo, OH 43606 Scope of Work (Upper Roof Area Only): o Contractor responsible for the measurements, core tests, and pull tests necessary to complete the project scope of work. o The contractor shall properly prepare the top surface of the existing smooth built-up roof to adhere a new PVC fleece membrane. The contractor shall also remove and properly dispose of existing sheet metal edge copings, gutters, and downspouts. o The contractor shall provide a unit cost with their base bid for the rernoval and replacement of any saturated insulation, if anyis found during the project. o There will be no new additional insulation added on this project. o The contractor shall install afullyadhered, 60mil, reinforced PVCfleece-back membrane roof system onthedeck ofthe roof area.Thecontractor shall install 50 mils reinforced PVC membrane onthe perimeter wall flashings. The contractor shall adhere the fleece membrane to the existing smooth built-uproof system withalow-rise foamadhesive approved by the roof system manufacturer. Followall manufacturer specifications. o Install curb flashings on any existing roof curbs per manufacturer specifications. Install stack flashings around allstack penetrations, back seal boot and use astainless steel clamptoseal offthe topofthe stack,per manufacturer'sspecifications. The contractor shall coordinate withToledo Fire&Rescue Department regarding the removal of any curbs, stacks,or anything elseonthe roofthat are no longer beingused, and deckinthe roof deck properly after the removal of any roof curbs or stacks. o For perimeter parapet walls, the contractor shall run the parapet flashings up and over the parapet walls and terminate the new membrane with a 5" 2-piece compression edge (24-gauge cover, standard Kynar finish selected by Toledo Fire & Rescue Department) per manufacturer specifications. o The contractor shall install a new 6" commercial gutter (24-gauge, standard Kynar finish) complete with endcaps, splice joints, and hangers). The contractor shall install new4x4 downspouts (24-gauge, standardKynar finish) complete with outlets, elbows, andstraps.
