Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Holmes Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

Location and Description of Work The work to be performed, in general, consists of the installation of a 6' wide timber boardwalk and 120 square foot timber observation deck and includes a shell pathway transition to the start of the new timber boardwalk. The structures consist of 8" dia. timber piles, timber girder, timber joists, timber decking and timber railings attaching existing pathways to an existing Right of Way. The Contractor is responsible for field locating the existing Right of Way by a Licensed PLS in the State of Florida. The Contractor shall also furnish complete as-built files from a Licensed PLS in the State of Florida. To provide guidance to the proposers in preparing the Bid Form , the type of work expected to be performed is as follows: A. Project Areas: The Contractor will install the new boardwalk area and observation deck as listed in Part 3-- Bid Form at the Grassy Point Habitat during the term of the contract. The quantities will be a lump sump total of work to be performed. All work performed shall be measured and paid for based on the contract unit prices listed in Part 3 - Bid Form. The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to complete the installation of a new timber boardwalk, shell pathway and timber observation deck. All work shall include necessary soil erosion measures and survey mark outs as required as part of this project. The location of work will be at the Grassy Point Habitat. The City reserves the right to add or delete any identified work. All work performed shall be measured and paid based on the contract unit prices identified in the Bid Form. The unit prices shall not be subject to change based on the addition or deletion of work. The Grassy Point Habitat Restoration Boardwalk - Phase II (2023) project will be for a contract period of one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days. The contract start date will be determined after approval of the agreement by the Holmes Beach City Commission. For each calendar day in excess of the time specified for completion of the work, the Contractor shall pay to the City, or have withheld from monies due, the sum of $1000.00 (One thousand) per calendar day until the work is complete. For all work, once the City notifies the contractor, work must commence within thirty (30) calendar days. For each calendar day in excess of the time specified for commencement of work, the Contractor shall pay to the City, or have withheld from monies due, the sum of $100 dollars per calendar day until the work is commenced.
