Contractor hereby proposes to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and services required for the completion of all work as required by these specifications and other supporting documents relating to the work occurring on the CCAC Campuses and Centers through June 30, 2024. The College can elect to extend the services as defined in the bid documents for up to two (2) additional option years, at its own discretion. Contractors may bid on any or all sections. All bidders must bid Section 27 for additional services beyond the scope of work specified herein. Projects may be small repairs jobs to larger resurfacing and/or repair projects on an as-needed basis. The college does not guarantee that any particular amount of work will be performed using this bid. Provide all labor, material, equipment and supervision required to perform asphalt and concrete repairs as-needed, etc., in accordance with the specifications, terms and conditions contained herein from award through June 30, 2024 with two option years to be awarded at the discretion of the college through June 30, 2025 / June 30, 2026. Bid Bond. . . . . . . . . . . . . $5,000 (Submit with Bid) Performance Bond. . . . . $25,000 (Awardee Only) Payment Bond. . . . . . . . $25,000 (Awardee Only) Bid must include the required bid bond or certified check, which will be returned to the unsuccessful bidder approximately 45 days after the bid due date. The successful bidder will be required to enter into a written contract with the College and to furnish a contractor's bond conditioned for the faithful and full performance of the contract with sufficient surety in the amount stated above. Any surety cosigning the contractor's bond shall be an Incorporated surety company approved by the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County. Bond with surety must be furnished within 20 days after receipt of the contract. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any bond furnished where it is in the best interest of the College to do so. The College requires Power of Attorney attached to bonds to be dated concurrently, sealed, and executed by a proper live (not facsimile) signature. The bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall furnish a bond to guarantee the payment of third party subcontractors involved in fullment of services rendered against College contracts. Such bonds shall be with sufficient surety and in the amount . Failure on the part of the contractor to furnish such bond shall be just cause for cancellation of award. The College's goal is to obtain 20% combined MBE/WBE/DBE (Minority-owned Business enterprise/Woman-owned Business Enterprise/Disadvantaged Business Enterprise) participation in the work. This is to be based on the dollar value of employment, subcontracts, supplies, goods, and services as a percentage of the total contract amount. The bidder/contractor must demonstrate to the College prior to award of the contract, and periodically thereafter throughout the term of the contract, their compliance and continued ability to comply with these goals.
