Renovation of a water / sewer project in Latham, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The Division of Pure Waters will provide, setup, and maintain bypass pumping system to bypass the pump station from: (1) the upstream sewer manhole number 1 from Public Safety Building and (2) manhole number 2 from the Emergency Medical Service building. Division of Pure Waters will plug off the discharge from manholes 1 and 2 during contractor work. Division of Pure Waters will be responsible for maintaining the bypass wastewater collection for the duration of the construction project. Bypass pumping system will utilize a vacuum truck and sump pumps to collect wastewater during this construction project. The Town and contractor will coordinate bypassing flow beginning on a Monday at noon of the scheduled work week and will be ending no later than noon of the immediately following Thursday. Contractor will be expected to complete the work within this 72-hourd period. Contractor will be responsible for scheduling the work week with Division of Pure Waters (providing one week notice ahead of scheduling work), and notifying the Division of Pure Waters when the work is complete and ready for inspection.
