Intent is for planning for future, rehabilitation, expansion and/or replacement of the total system The City of Otawa Water Treatment Plant is a surface water plant with a designed capacity of 5.8 MGD and a regulatory reduction capacity of 4.8 MGD. The treatment plant is a class IV plant with conventional filtration. Chemicals used for treatment are chlorine gas, liquid ammonium sulfate, quicklime, polymer, powder activated carbon, and hydrofluosilicic acid. Plant average production per day is 1.5 MGD
