Mableton Parkway Pedestrian Improvements, Phase 2 Project Description Mableton Parkway Pedestrian Improvements, Phase 2, includes construction of a ten-foot wide multi-use trail on the west side of Mableton Parkway, from Veterans Memorial Highway to Factory Shoals Road. Sidewalks will be added to fill in the gaps within a segment of existing trail, providing a continuous connection from just north of the Chattahoochee River to the Silver Comet Trail. Traffic Signal Upgrades are also included at signalized intersections within the project limits. The total project length of Phase 2 is approximately 1.30 miles. Cobb County Water System work is also included. Project Duration: The time allowed for performance of the project will be 530 days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. Project partially funded by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and Local Funds. Davis-Bacon wage rates for Cobb County, GA will also apply. All bidders submitting bids of $2,000,000.00 or less shall be registered subcontractors or prequalified with GDOT. Subcontractors must be prequalified or registered with GDOT. DBE firms must be certified with the Georgia Department of Transportation's Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) office. ALL NEW PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO PRE-REGISTER WITH COBB COUNTY FINANCE PRIOR TO BID CLOSING.
