The Project consists of cleaning and televising approximately 39,750 lineal feet of sanitary sewer main, manhole structure evaluation of approximately 160 manholes, and sewer bypass & associated work as described within the specifications. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis as indicated in the Bid Form. A pre-bid conference will not be held. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Village of Colfax reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive or not waive any informality in the bids, and to accept any bid which it deems most favorable to the Village. It is agreed that this bid may not be withdrawn for a period of 45 days from opening thereof or it will be subject to forfeit the 5% Bid Bond provided with the bid. Work on this project is subject to the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130). Prevailing Wages, as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor and the current Prevailing wage ordinance approved by the Village of Colfax, shall be paid. The submission of monthly certified payrolls to the Village of Colfax will be required. Work on this project is subject to the Illinois Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Project Act as enacted by P.A. 95-0635.
