Mower County Highway Department is planning to reconstruct bridge #5229 over the Dobbins Creek. The bridge is 90 years old and is in need of replacement. The project will involve reconstruction of the bridge structure with improved sidewalks/trails and railings. Costs for pavement approaches and aesthetic improvements fall to the City of Austin. The estimated costs for these improvements are $300,000 and would be paid via the State of Minnesota through the state aid street system, with plans for construction in fall 2026.
