Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Corpus Christi, Texas. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and for the addition of a 12,000-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.

The work includes, but is not limited to earthwork, concrete, pavement markings, masonry, miscellaneous metals, rough carpentry, casework and countertops, sealants, insulation, metal panels, hollow metal doors and frames, overhead coiling doors, aluminum storefronts, glazing, resilient flooring and base, concrete floor sealer, painting, graphics and signage, fire extinguishers, pre-engineered aluminum canopies, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, fire alarm, access control, and all related work as defined by the documents included herein. Our scope of services performed for the project consisted of: 1. Drilling five (5) soil borings to depths of 5-ft, 25-ft. and 50-ft. within the project site to evaluate subsurface stratigraphy and groundwater conditions; 2. Performing geotechnical laboratory tests on recovered soil samples to evaluate the physical and engineering properties of the strata encountered; 3. Providing geotechnical design and construction recommendations for drilled and underreamed piers (drilled footings) for support of the new building addtion; 4. Providing information regarding interaction between the foundations of the new building and the existing school building and design parameters related to spacing between the new and existing foundations; 5. Providing estimated potential vertical rise (PVR) for the site and means of reducing the PVR to levels acceptable for slab-on-grade construction. Geotechnical information regarding the use of slab-on-grade support for floor slabs in the school building addition; 6. Geotechnical design recommendations for both flexible (asphalt) and rigid (concrete) pavement sections including subgrade preparation and required component thicknesses; and, 7. Providing geotechnical construction recommendations including site and subgrade preparation, excavation considerations, fill and backfill requirements, compaction requirements, foundation installation and overall quality control monitoring, testing and inspection services. **Scope sheets are requested to be received at least 48 hours from bid time.
