Renovation of a municipal facility in Williamsburg, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The City of Williamsburg Department of Public Works, hereafter known as the City, is seeking bids from contractors for roof modifications and storefront replacement located at 200 Armistead Avenue, Williamsburg, VA 23185. The Triangle Building was originally constructed in 1984 and is not known or expected to contain lead or asbestos containing materials. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5 %) of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Payment and Performance Bonds will be required. All inquiries for information should be directed to the office of the Public Works. Written questions related to the project will be accepted up to five (5) business days prior to the closing date; it is the City's discretion to respond to any inquiries beyond this time. Emails are an acceptable form of written documentation. Jamie Clark , jclark@williamsburgva.gov a. Contractor will be responsible for all Work described in the Scope of Work in the IFB and all permits related to demolition and building activities. City permits are required, but fees will be waived, b. Work includes demolition, removal, and disposal of materials as well as the furnishing and installing new storefronts as per the provided construction drawings; also included is reinstalling of specific items identified in the IFB, c. Retain and submit to City all documentation for removal and legal disposal of materials as well as all warranties of furnished and installed materials,
