August 8, 2023, voters will have an opportunity to vote on a third Improve Our Tulsa package funded by General Obligation Bonds and a sales tax extension. This Improve Our Tulsa renewal will fund improvements to identified City facilities and sites while also providing capital funding for public safety equipment and street maintenance. This extension will not raise taxes for Tulsans. The current maintenance facility is at the northern end of the park system, which stretches south to 101st Street on the east bank of the Arkansas River and 71st Street on the west bank. Plans call for building a secure 20,000-square-foot facility on the north side of 71st Street, east of Elwood Avenue near the Arkansas River. The property is adjacent to Turkey Mountain and is owned by River Parks. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
