Reference Number 00003591906 Contact information David Urban 604-702-5051 durban@fvrd.ca he Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) is seeking proposals from qualified proponents ("Proponents") to develop an Active Transportation Network Plan (ATNP) for the electoral areas of the FVRD, to improve active transportation infrastructure, connectivity, and safety for residents and visitors. The ATNP will identify opportunities for active transportation, such as walking, cycling, and other non-motorized modes, and provide a strategic framework for their development. The Proponents shall have experience and knowledge in active transportation planning in a rural setting. The successful proponent will work closely with FVRD staff, stakeholders, and community members to develop the plan. The FVRD does not own or maintain roads and the responsibility for managing and regulating road jurisdiction is under the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI). The FVRD works closely with MOTI on initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency, sustainability, and safety of the region's transportation system to ensure that the needs of local communities are meet. MOTI is a key stakeholder in the development and implementation of this ATNP. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
