Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Providence, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Rhode Island Contract No. 2023-CB-004, Federal Aid Project No. BRO-013E(002) includes replacement of Bridge No. 083301 over the West River in Providence, RI. The Bridge was built in 1955 and reconstructed in 1988. The proposed contract includes replacement of the existing bridge superstructure, substructure, wingwalls, MASH TL-4 Four-bar Steel Bridge Rail, sidewalks and roadway approach work. The bridge replacement work includes but is not limited to excavation, superstructure removal, partial substructure demolition, steel piles, new concrete substructures, new composite rolled steel beam superstructure, approach reconstruction, drainage, pavement, concrete barrier, railing, pavement markings, signage, and all other incidentals necessary to complete the project.
