Site work and paving for a playground / park / athletic field in Stanwood, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for paving for a playground / park / athletic field.
**As of August 3, 2023, project was awarded to Konnerup Construction Inc, awarded amount is $1,553,568.43.** Hamilton Landing Park is located on the historic site of the Hamilton Mill, that burned down in the 1960s. It is important for the City of Stanwood to develop this post-industrial site into a well designed public space with local characteristics so that all residents of the city may have a place to gather and enjoy the riverfront. Some featured historic structures including the smokestack remain in the place. In addition, part of the wetland on site and intertidal estuary of the Stillaguamish River provide access to nature. This project is made in colaboration with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. All work shall be physically complete within 60 working days, or before November 30th, after receiving a Notice to Proceed. Time extensions may be granted for rainfall days that prevent work that is already in progress.
