Saving Project...

Renovation of an educational facility in Prince George, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The College of New Caledonia (CNC) is undertaking a project to renovate the existing building envelope on the Main Building at their Prince George campus. This renovation will align with CNCs Strategic Plan, align with Clean BC objectives, enhance the buildings aesthetics, improve the visual harmony of the campus, and utilize renewable and recyclable materials. As the Main Building is one of the oldest buildings on campus, its exterior finishes do not match the more modern finishes of the newer campus buildings. To provide a more cohesive atmosphere on campus, this project will see new exterior finishes, windows, and doors installed on the Main Building. The use of mass timber should also be incorporated into the design of the renovated building envelope. TIMELINE: Negotiated request for proposal for design consulting services is closed. Preferred proponent is unreleased. Further update early summer 2024, upon approvals.
