Reference Number 00003596927 1. Sidewalks will be cleared of snow and ice when accumulations reach 2 inches. 2. Sidewalks will be cleared by 8 am and must remain clear, not to exceed more than 2 inches daily, 7 ( SEVEN ) days per week. 3. Sidewalks to be maintained a minimum of 4 (four) feet in width. 4. Snow along both sides of sidewalks shall be removed (hauled away) when height of snow reaches 30 inches. 5. The sanding of sidewalks shall be done when icy conditions, ice patches, slush, snow packed, black ice, slippery conditions prevail and remain in a state of repair. 6. Crosswalk and exits off sidewalks shall be plowed and sanded as per plowing and sanding schedule. 7. It shall be the Contractor's responsibility to monitor sidewalks throughout the day, 7 days a week, keeping a daily log of weather conditions and temperatures. 8. Salt shall be applied at the Municipality's request. (Please give price for salting). 9. Sidewalk plowing and sanding shall be done with the proper sidewalk maintenance machine made for that purpose, i.e., MT trackless machine or equivalent machine with sander, blower, and blade, maximum 60 inches, with all safety equipment, guards, etc. in place. Please state the equipment to be used for this contract. 10. Sanding is to be included in the flat rate price. 11. Any damage done is to be repaired by contractor each Spring i.e., lawns, fire hydrants, trees, fences, signs, etc. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
