The Contract will be subject to the NEORSD policies and goals regarding the use of minority, women, and small business enterprises (MBE/WBE/SBE). This policy is contained in the Contract Specifications. The MBE/WBE/SBE goal for this Contract is 15% MBE/WBE and 3% SBE. The NEORSD reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids received. Bidders shall review the Instructions to Bidders and all other contract documents prior to submitting a bid for this project. In general, the work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals for construction of the following work: o Replacement of flexible membrane aeration equipment o Cleaning, hauling and disposal of solids, sludge and other materials within channels, aeration tanks, conduits, and piping o Prestressed concrete cylinder piping, cleaning, CCTV inspection, and repair o Replacement of process air compressor, rehabilitation of existing process air compressors, new local control panels and starter modifications o Replacement of multistage centrifugal blowers and channel mixing systems o Sluice gate and knife gate valve rehabilitation, new slide gates, new rectangular butterfly valves, new butterfly valves, new motor actuators o Replacement of dewatering pumps, valves and piping modifications o New area programmable logic controller This meeting has been set in order to provide all potential Bidders an opportunity to discuss with the Owner all aspects of the Contract Documents for the Southerly Wastewater Treatment Center Second Stage Aeration Improvements. A o Concrete structural repairs, building cladding, window and door replacement, and painting o Ventilation systems and temperature controls, sump pump modifications o Electrical and instrumentation including new area programmable logic controller. o Refer to the Contract Documents and the Summary of Work Specification Section 01 11 00.
