Questions Due Date: Jul 14th 2023, 2:00 PM CDT Bidders must submit, with their bids, a copy of the Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the maximum amount of Bid Price payable without recourse to the Owner, from a surety company holding permit from the State of Texas to act as a surety, as a guarantee that Bidder will enter into a contract and execute bond and guarantee forms within ten (10) days after notice of award of contract. Bids without acceptable bid bond, as stated above, may not be considered. The Owner reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids or to enter into negotiations with any bidder. The Owner reserves the right to waive any alleged breach of technicality. The Owner reserves the right to modify the Contract Documents and re-bid the project, if necessary, to meet Owner's budgetary requirements. A Performance and Payment Bond, each in an amount not less than 100% of the Contract Sum, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the Contract, will be required. SCOPE OF WORK: This project will consist of prepping of the work area to include replacement of all wood rot, two (2) coats of primer, caulking, and applying two (2) coats of paint to the exterior siding, trim, windows, door frames, porch railing, porch balusters, latticework, and floor of the African American Museum located in the Historical Park at 317 W. Mulberry Street, Denton, TX 76201.
