The City is requesting submittals from construction firms to provide on-call general contracting services. The contractor should have experience in all aspects of parks construction, including concrete, irrigation, electrical, plumbing, playground installation and landscape planting. The contractor must perform with its own forces (not subcontracting) not less than twenty percent (20%) of the value of each assigned project per the City of Sacramento's Standard Specifications. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS All contractors must carry an A (General Engineering Contractor) and a C-27 (Landscape Contractor) contractor's license issued by the State of California which was issued no later than June 2016. Also, the contractor's licenses must have been in good standing for the past five years. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS All contractors must: (1) have been in business for at least five years based on the date of issuance of their contractor's license, (2) have completed at least five "public works" projects for public agencies within the last five years, and (3) have experience with prevailing wage labor compliance, have not been fined for labor compliance violations, are registered with, and are in good standing with, the State Department of Industrial Relations. In addition, it is preferred that contractors have experience with the LCPTracker software for labor compliance reporting.
